Healthcare Initiatives

About the Activity

The organisation’s Healthcare Initiatives focus on strengthening community well-being through accessible, preventive, and inclusive health interventions. Recognising that early diagnosis and health awareness play a critical role in improving quality of life, the organisation conducts regular health check-up camps for malnourished children, women, workers, and senior citizens, particularly from underserved communities.

These initiatives are designed to promote preventive healthcare and early detection of common health conditions such as anaemia, nutritional deficiencies, and general health disorders. Along with medical screenings and basic consultations, beneficiaries receive guidance on nutrition, hygiene, and healthy lifestyle practices. The organisation’s healthcare work goes beyond one-time interventions and aims to build long-term health awareness at the community level.

In addition to preventive camps, the organisation also supports individuals suffering from serious illnesses by facilitating access to medical treatment, guiding patients through healthcare systems, and providing financial assistance wherever possible. This integrated approach ensures that healthcare support is not limited to diagnosis alone but extends to care, treatment, and recovery with dignity.

Programme Implementation and Events

As part of its healthcare outreach, the organisation conducted a Health Check-up Camp on 11 May 2025 to mark World Mother’s Day at Shri Lakadi Pool Vitthal Mandir Hall, Alka Chowk, Pune. The programme combined preventive healthcare services with a social recognition initiative honouring the role of mothers in society. The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting and prayer, followed by inaugural remarks by CA Abhay Shastri, Past District Governor, Lions Club, and Mr. Sunil Pandey, who highlighted the social, emotional, and psychological importance of motherhood.

Dr. Rajshri Jaibhaye, Founder and President of the organisation, addressed the gathering and shared the vision behind the initiative, emphasising that mothers are not only the foundation of families but also key contributors to social transformation. As part of the programme, the organisation conferred the “Adarsh Mata Karya Gaurav Award 2025” upon mothers who have demonstrated exemplary contributions in social service, healthcare, cultural preservation, and community leadership. The award recipients included Mrs. Saroj Rajesh Pandey, Mrs. Prema Balwant Thorat, Mrs. Indira Vijay Patil, and Mrs. Anuradha Abhay Shastri.

The event was graced by Mr. Deepak Thorat, Treasurer of Shri Lakadi Pool Vitthal Mandir Trust, as the Chief Guest. He congratulated the award recipients and expressed continued support from the temple trust for the organisation’s future healthcare and social initiatives.

Continuing its community health outreach, the organisation organised another Health Check-up Camp on 12 May 2025 on the occasion of Buddha Purnima at Laxmi Nagar, Dahanukar Colony, Kothrud, Pune. This camp catered to workers, women, children, and senior citizens, providing basic medical examinations, health screenings, and medical guidance. The initiative aimed to improve access to essential healthcare services while promoting preventive health practices grounded in compassion and community well-being.
